The seat is Juneau while the largest city is Beaver Dam

It borders Fond Du Lac, Washington, Waukesha, Jefferson, Dane, Columbia and Green Lake Counties.

Main highways include I-41, US-151, WI-16, WI-19, WI-26, WI-33 and WI-60.
